I am a proud member of the Canadian Bar Association, Nova Scotia Barrister’s Society and Ghana Bar with extensive expertise in Corporate/Business law coupled with a profound focus on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Beyond traditional legal services, I offer innovative, non-traditional solutions, such as legal coaching, to empower individuals and small businesses to take control of their legal matters while benefiting from professional guidance. My practice is informed by a deep understanding of both Canadian and international legal systems, allowing me to deliver tailored and effective solutions for my clients.
After earning my master’s degree in law from Dalhousie University, I took on multiple roles that deepened my expertise and passion for the legal field. As a Teaching Assistant at the Schulich School of Law for three years and now in my second year as the Graduate Writing Advisor, I have guided students in honing their legal writing and analytical skills. My work as a Research Associate at Dalhousie University explores intersections in business law, human rights, environmental law, corporate social responsibility, and ADR, enriching my approach to legal advocacy and dispute resolution.
My practice blends extensive experience in international litigation, negotiation, mediation, arbitration, teaching, and research with a focus on clear communication. I aim to ensure that clients fully understand their rights and options, providing strategic solutions to resolve disputes, preserve relationships, and minimize costs.
I am a Board member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Atlantic Institute (ADRAI), Development of Ocean Technical Capacity with African Nations (DOTCAN Institute) as well as Rotary Club of HalifaxHarbour. As an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a board member of the ADR Atlantic Institute, I am actively engaged in advancing the field of ADR. I frequently speak at national and international conferences, sharing insights on dispute resolution and fostering dialogue around best practices.
When I’m not immersed in the legal world, I enjoy giving back to the community through Rotary International (Halifax/Harbour Club). I’m also an enthusiastic tennis player, competing at a social level locally and internationally bringing the same determination and focus to the court as I do to my legal practice.
